Deadline to Complete Old Curricula for Certifications

Effective January 1, 2010, we will no longer track two curricula for each of our certification programs.  What does this mean for you? 

Effective January 1, all participants will be moved into the new curriculum for the certification they are working on.  If you are working in an old curriculum, it needs to be completed by January 1.  If the old curriculum is not completed by January 1, you will be moved into the new curriculum.

Please note the following:

  • Many courses from the old curricula have remained in the new curricula
  • You will not lose courses you have already taken that apply to the new curriculum; for example, if you are working on Part 1 and you have already taken "Creating a Respectful Workplace," this class has remained in the new curriculum--you will not lose credit for this class!
  • Courses you have taken in the past* that now apply to the new curriculum will be considered in tracking your progress; for example, if you took "Communication Skills for Supervisors" as a Communication class in the past, this class will now be tracked into your new Part 1 progress!

    *courses taken prior to September 2004 are not accepted for credit
